FLAG VIEW, shuffled back after the start, worked his way up steadily and, coming through on the inside entering the stretch, wore down BANK SHOT in the final strides. The latter drew into a safe lead on the far turn, went wide into the stretch and tired thereafter. WALTER H. went to the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn and finished well. CAPT. JERRY came again on the inside and finished fast after being bothered on the far turn. RYE was cut off on the far turn by BANK SHOT. POLAIRE was outrun. SWEET BUD raced forwardly under restraint, went to, the outside of theleaders on the far turn, responded to pressure when called upon and outlasted YANCEY. The latter improved his position steadily on the outside, challenged gamely on the stretch turn, but tired at the end. DONT BLUSH moved into command after the start, raced CHAUMONT into defeat and came again. GREY LIGHT, on the inside all the way, had no mishaps.
