1 DIXIANA YEARLING TRIALS Two of Fisher Fillies Show Brilliant Speed in Trials Against Strong Wind. LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 24 In the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Fisher and a party of friends at their beautiful Dixiana estate near Lexington Sunday the fifteen yearlings in the string for 1933 racing were given their speed trials. Manager Ross Long was master of ceremonies and trainer Clyde Van Dusen of the Dixiana .string at Latonia came over to do the timing, in which he was assisted by trainer Danny Stewart of the Calumet Farm string, Olin Gentry of Idle Hour Stock Farm and Tom B. Young of Hinata Farm. The riding was done by lads of the farms exercise crew. The weather was delightful and the track was fast, but the horses were at a disadvantage because of some wind. The trials brought out the fact that Mr. Fisher is the owner of two of the fastest fillies to be seen anywhere this year, and that others of his string will stand up with the best that have been shown in Kentucky this year. The fastest pair are the brown daughter of Peter Hastings War Woman, and the chestnut by North Star m. Miss Jemima. They did not break evenly for their trial, and so were timed separately. The Peter Hastings filly did her quarter in :22, finishing about a length and three-parts in front of the other, which had started two lengths back of her and which did her quarter in :21, the first furlong in :10. The brown fillies, one by Black Servant Saramar, and the other by Chicle Penelope, did a quarter in :22. The following worked in :23: Chestnut gelding by Sun Pal Cross Play. Chestnut filly by Upset Sherbet. Chestnut gelding by Transmute Admirals Lassie. Bay gelding by General Thatcher Clandestine. Chestnut gelding by High Time Shining Mark. Chestnut colt by Crusader La Belle Helene. Two black geldings, one by Peter Hastings Miss Fire, and the other by Crusader Mary V., worked in :23. The other three worked in :24, finishing in the following order, half lengths apart, bay colt by Supremus Indiscretion, bay gelding by Donnacona Sweet Beam, and chestnut colt by High Time Castanet.
