DAILY DOUBLE AT MIAMI LAUREL, Md., Oct. 24. Joseph McLennan, racing secretary of the Miami Jockey Club, which will conduct the winter sport at Joseph E. Wideners beautiful course at Miami, Fla., announced here today that his association had decided to install the "daily double" system of wagering on the first and third races. Unlike other tracks using the "daily double" system of wagering, Miami will close all betting five minutes before the horses parade in the days first race. This is being done to show the players exactly what they will receive, providing their choices race into the winners circle. Miami will also dispense with moveable stall gates and will use stationary stalls wherever possible. The Miami book is now in the hands of the printer and will be ready for distribution among horsemen within the next few days. At the conclusion of this meeting secretary McLennan will go to New York, where he will confer with Mr. Widener in regard to the stall allotment for Miami.
