EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES C Roy Selden is taking the apprentice L. Bernius to Maryland for the Pimlico meeting. George Coburn has been notified that he will have to ship to Laurel and van from there to Pimlico and Bowie. He is taking the apprentice H. Knessi there. The boy has ridden four winners at this meeting. Dick Kaelker returned to Philadelphia encouraged by reports that he received here about Havana.
