NICK showed speed from the start, shook off ORPHEAN in the stretch and held on well. ORPHEAN moved up gamely in the stretch, but tired. MODERN ACE finished with a rush. FLY ON showed good form. BIG LEAGUER was crowded back at the start. UKRAINE was in close quarters and forced back at the eighth post. BEGUILE, on the outside of the leaders on the far turn, finished on the inside. WASHINGTON BELLE showed good form. ZONDA had no mishaps.
