PLUCKY PLAY BEEAKS DOWN LAUREL, Md., Oct. 29. The breaking down of Norman Churchs Plucky Play cost the Maryland State Fair, -Inc., a pretty penny. Held at second choice in the wagering, the host organization lost plenty when the five-year-old bay son of My Play and Plucky was unable to go postward. It was just as severe a loss to owner Church, who was confident his thoroughbred would have beaten Equipoise just as he did last summer at Arlington Park, Illinois. Plucky Play will be shipped with Gallant Sir and others of Churchs stable to Latonia, Ky., Monday. Gallant Sir is being pointed for the Latonia Championship Stakes, which is exclusively for three-year-olds.
