POLAR BRUSH, working his way up on the outside on the back stretch, withstood a strong drive gamely and was up in the concluding strides. BUSHRANGER had a lot taken out of him racing CHATTERFOL into defeat, but fought it out gamely. JUDGE JUDY, well placed early, responded to pressure and closed gamely, but crowded RESERVIST badly right at the end. The latter, far back early, came through on the inside in the stretch and closed gamely in spite of interference. LORD RAGLAN raced well. CHATTERFOL tired from forcing the pace. BROWN MOLASSES, in the thick of contention throughout, could not seriously menace the leaders. STANDOUT closed gamely. ONCE saved ground, but was outrun. ST. OMER showed early speed. COLOSSAL, forwardly placed, challenged midway of the final turn, but tired thereafter. ANGRY LASS closed fast from a slow start. SKIRT could not threaten the leaders. BLACK PRINCESS had no excuses. The latter, hard urged and a factor throughout, raced RUSH HOUR and THE PELICAN into defeat, then continued gamely. THE PELICAN, hard urged to hold a forward position, swerved out in the stretch. KNIGHTS GAL was unable to menace the loaders. JUNGLE KING had no mishaps. LIQUEUR, well placed, tired at the end. RUSH HOUR quit. HELL DIVER raced extremely wide and showed a dull performance. BRAVE AND BOLD, used up racing ROYAL PAST into defeat, tired when kept in the softer footing next to the rail in the stretch. ROYAL PAST showed good speed for five-eighths. ALLANAH was easily best of the others. PORGIE showed a flash of earlv speed. WOODCRAFT raced poorly.
