FOR WHITNEY GOLD CUP Nine Named for One of Big Features of United Hunts Program on Election Day. NEW YORK, N. Y., Nov. 3. Nine nominations were received for the Whitney Gold Cup, for three-year-olds and over, at one mile and a half, one of the features of the United Hunts meeting at Belmont Park next Tuesday. Weights were announced by Walter S. Vosburgh, handicapper for The Jockey Club, as follows: Twenty Grand, 126: Equipoise, 126; Blenheim, 118; Mate, 116; Gusto, 116; St, Bri-deaux, 115; Mad Frump, ill; Masked Knight, 109, and Pardee, 105. Six events are on the United Hunts Racing Associations card, and all have filled .well. Twelve entries were received for the " first race, the Piping Rock, a six furlongs sprint on the main course, for all ages. . Thirteen jumpers have been named to start in the Cherry Malotte, a two mile selling steeplechase. This event which will have an estimated value of 1,000, closed with eighty-two nominations. It is for four-year-olds and over and the distance is about two miles and a half. Nine are entered in the Weld Steeplechase, a two and a half mile contest for hunters and the largest field of the day, fifteen, is entered in the final race on the program at one mile and a half, on the flat for three-year-olds and over, with amateur riders.
