LODORUS, away in the first flight and hustled into an easy lead after an eighth, held sway thereafter and won as his rider pleased. DIXIE BEE, closest to the winner at all stages, was easily best of the others. BILLIES TRYST improved his positicn on the rail and finished gamely. MATHIAS raced close up, lost ground entering the stretch and then tired. ASKE was hard ridden and raced evenly. FLYING WIND •was forced to race on the outside. CHATTERDOO was taken up repeatedly. REVERENCE, saved for two miles, gained fast after the twelfth fence and, going to the outside of the tiring leaders at the last fence, drew out on the flat. GREATOREX, prominent and fencing cleanly, took command near the final jump, but could not match strides with the winner. SAN ROMOLO moved up when ready and finished well. KIM, poorly handled and in trouble most of the way, challenged strongly at the last jump, but tired. BONIFACE II. raced wide. SPINNER was held safe. ANNAPOLITAN quit fast after two miles. GRENADIER GUARD was done after two miles. LESTER W. lost his rider at the thirteenth fence and OUT OF TOWN ran out at the twelfth jump.
