VIRGINIA GOLD CUP SATURDAY BALTIMORE, Md., May 4.— The annual meeting of the Virginia Gold Cup Association will be held at Warrenton, Va., Saturday. This is sport of big importance to the hunting set and four races are down for decision with amateur riders performing in each event. The Virginia Gold Cup is naturally the big feature of the day. It is a chase of about four miles, over a timber course and eleven have been named to perform. This is confined to the amateur riders and the prize is a gold cup of ,000 value that must be won three times to become the property of any sportsman. The North Wales steeplechase, of two miles and a half, over a brush course is also restricted to amateur riders and it has received ten entries. The Warrenton Hunt Cup, another of the events, is for hunters and it is over a course of about three miles. The remaining race is the Agricultural Steeplechase, over the short timber course.
