ILLINOIS DERBY WORKOUT LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 17— Col. Hatfield, the Louisiana Derby winner, worked one mile and one-eighth in 1:58 on a fast track here this morning. The workout completed his strenuous preparation for the Illinois Derby, to be run at that distance and at Exposition Park, Aurora, Saturday. He was to be shipped to Chicago tonight. Sweep-rush and Fair Rochester, others after the Illinois Derby honors, are en route to Exposition Park.
