1 WASHINGTON PARK NOTES 4 e Washington Park has never looked as beautiful horticulturally as k will this year. The flowers and shrubbery are profuse. Greenery of every description decorates the infield and all the open spaces surrounding the main buildings. Landscape gardeners, painters, decorators and carpenters have been working for weeks getting the great racing plant in trim for the silver anniversary of the. Worlds Fair American Derby as well as the other fixtures to be decided at the famous course during the meeting which opens on Monday, May 22. The Three Ds Stable, composed of fifteen, including the American Derby candidate Strideaway, will entrain at Lincoln Fields Thursday. Tony Pelleteri has stable quarters at Lincoln Fields, with eight. The western division of the Audley Farm Stable arrived at Washington Park. In the consignment of fifteen were Trace Call, American Derby candidate, and Miss Patience, the unbeaten two-year-old filly, which won the Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs last Saturday. L. M. Seversons stable of seven, including his Derby colt, Spicson, also arrived at Washington Park. M. B. Cohen, with Col. Hatfield and four others, came on the same train. ยป
