ij SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES t * $ J. H. Tapley, representing the Western Canada Racing Associations, shipped anoth-v er car of horses Thursday morning from Sportsmans Park consigned to Calgary. In the shipment were Hunters Queen, Hunters Tigress, Legal Hunter, Club Hunter and Miss Huntress, the property of P. C. James. Bogan, Britlon, Dorothy Span and Carlino, trained by C. R. Parker; Red Vamp, Buds Pal and Stone Hut for Mrs. M. Green-burg. A. J. Brown had Janece T. and West Park, while E. R. Carson shipped Conrad and Captus. The car was rounded out with E. Hudgens Sunny Flower and A. Miles Athofla. The veteran D. Froggatte who rode Gale Way to victory Wednesday, departed Thursday for Calgary. John Morrissey was an arrival from Tan-foran. Morrissey states that his father will leave San Diego Friday and will be at Washington Park Monday. Terry OMalley, who served for a number of years as agent for the Audley Farm Stable, was a visitor. He came from Tan-foran, stopping at Louisville. A. Pelleteri who has a large stable at Lincoln Fields, was a clubhouse visitor. Horsemen are keeping Francis Dunne busy distributing application blanks for Washington Park. Jockey J. Cowley was suspended by the stewards for the remainder of the meeting for rough riding in the second race at Sportsmans Park Thursday. Racing secretary P. C. Galliger has arranged a nine race card for Saturday, last day of the National Jockey Club spring season meeting. Jockey J. Neel, who has shown splendid form at this track, will move over to Washington Park next week with his contract employer, J. B. Theall, trainer for the large * Lone Star Stable. Jockey E. Unkraut was slightly injured this morning when a horse he was exercis- • ing jumped over one of the "dogs." He was taken to the emergency hospital, where he was found to be only shaken up. Bill Milner and E. "Whitey" Ballenger, attached to the jockey room at Washington Park, arrived via motor from Tanforan and were visitors today. Jockey S. Young was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for rough riding In the seventh race Wednesday.
