WINOOKA DISPLAYS SPEED LOUISVILLE Ky May 4 After the third race at Churchill Downs this afternoon Winooka the Australian sprint star and Mrs Jack Howards Advising Anna met in a public speed exhibition at a half mile with the invader leading home the Amer ¬ ican filly by slightly more than a length in the excellent time of 4646 Don Meade a light rider guided Winooka and the heavier Charlie Corbett was astride Advising Anna They began at the halfmile post with Wi ¬ nooka well on the outside He came to the rail to join the filly and they sped the first quarter in 22 and the threeeighths in 34 and after which Winooka drew away despite Meades efforts to hold him back Advising Anna went along under restraint throughout but nevertheless the time was much faster than trainers Mike Poison and Jack Howard had intended in their instruc ¬ tions to the riders
