STEWARDS SUSPEND GROOM LATONIA Ky June 1 Under Rule 240 B Thomas Valentine groom for the stable of W S Sachsenmaier trained by P Reuter is suspended for sixty days and denied the privileges of the course On May 17 at Churchill Downs a saliva sampling of the horse Pot au Brooms was taken by Dr F H Riester veterinarian for the Kentucky Rac ¬ ing Commission and was submitted for analysis by Virgil E Ashby chemist ap ¬ pointed by the state commission Such anal ¬ ysis disclosed the presence of caffeine Ah investigation disclosed the fact that P Reu ¬ ter trainer was not at the track on the day that Pot au Brooms ran nor had he been present for several days previous to the race on account of illness
