1 ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES | € • For the remainder of the Rockingham meeting Bob Friend will serve as starter. Jim Milton will move into the stewards stand, officiating with Martin Nathanson, Howard G. Reynolds and the New Hampshire state race commission member, C. B. Stickney. Mr. Friend has had wide experience and is certain to make good at his new assignment at the New Hampshire oval. J. Highouse departed for Hawthorne to serve as an assistant to starter J. Hodgins at that Illinois track. J. M. Black is shipping the stable that he has been campaigning at Rockingham Park to Timonium Thursday. Mr. Black has a half dozen turned out in Maryland that he will take up and make ready for the fall meetings in Maryland. J. R. Fleischman, who has campaigned an extensive string from time to time, was among the days arrivals. Frank Kearns returned to New York Monday night. He left the members of the E. Barry Ryan string as well as some of his own at Rockingham Park. He will return in time to saddle Silk Flag in his race Wednesday.
