ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., July 24.— j j The Arlington Futurity and Arlington Las- I sie Stakes both will be renewed during the ; 1935 meeting of the Arlington Park Jockey I Club, it was announced today by John I ! Hertz, chairman of the executive committee. To the Futurity will be added 0,000 and to the Lassie 0,000. Nominations close Wednesday, September 5. Next year will mark the fourth running l of the Futurity and the seventh of the Las- j j sie Stakes. The former event developed out I of the Post and Paddock Stakes, which had been staged three times. Both will be over I six furlongs. Conditions of the Futurity call for a first subscription of 0 each, second payment of 5 due January 15, and third payment of 0 due May 15. Starting fee will be ,000. I The Lassie first payment Will be 0, the second 0, and third 0, with a starting fee of ,000. The Futurity, which has been j the second richest juvenile race in the coun- try for two years, again will be open to geldings. The Lassie is now the richest filly contest offered in America.
