MY ROSANNE, well placed in the early running, closed gamely on the outside during the stretch run and, wearing down PATAPAN, was going away at the finish. PATAPAN, hustled into the lead shortly after the start, showed good speed in the pacemaking. but was tiring at the end. CARTER BOY moved up fast on the inside, but was in the deepest going next to the rail and tired. DR. McLARNEY showed early speed. ALEFAR was never a factor. DAISY BANE forced the early pace, took the lead in the stretch and held on gamely. FINLET, prominent all the way, finished gamely. SCOTCH PEPPER broke fast, showed good speed in the pacemaking and held on gamely in the final drive.. FLAG TIME broke well, lacked earlv speed, was taken to the outside on the lower turn and finished well. SLEEPY GAL closed gamely. DANCE PRINCESS and PARADE REST both tired badly. DONAU, far back early finished fast. HIGH WIRE, well placed early, was in close quarters attempting to get through on the inside and tired nearing the end. JUST IMAGINE tired. ORKIN quit badly. ANIMATOR, much the best, was reserved off the early pace, moved up fast when called upon and, taking command entering the stretch, won easily. DUNLEY, rated behind the early pace, moved into the lead on the lower turn and, while holding on well, was no match for the winner. HIGH HATTER, far back for a mile, gained steadily in the final quarter and finished well. PLAY SHOOT swerved at the start, was hard hustled to take the lead and tired badly in the final quarter.
