POLITE ANN, much the best, was closest to the early pace, wore down CURLEY CUE in the stretch and, drawing away, won easily. CURLEY CUE, fractious at the gate, was placed on the outside for the start, was hustled into a good lead in the first half mile, but was tiring badly at the end. LAURIAN lacked early speed, worked his way up between horses and was eo!n well at the end. WOOD DAISY was tiring at the end. MISS GENIE showed a flash of early speed. SUNNY GEORGE broke slowly. SCRAMBOLA, much the best, worked her way up steadily on the outside, took command in the stretch and, drawing away, won with speed to spare. POMPARIA started slowly, saved ground during the first half mile, came to the outside entering the stretch and finished gamely. BROWNIE MEDE, rank at the gate, was placed outside the stalls for the start, closed well in the stretch and finished gamely. BRIGHT FLOWER, breaking from outside the stalls, showed early speed in the pacemaking, but tired in the last eighth. SID LEA raced well for a half mile. COLOR BELL, a vay fast, was hustled into a good lead in the first half mile, but was tiring badly at the end and was doing his best to hold TOWSON safe. The latter propped at the break and, away slowly, saved ground for the first three-eighths, came to the outside in the stretch and was wearing the winner down. PRINCE WESTEND moved up fast on the inside, saved ground all the way and had no excuses VONNIE tired in the last eighth. GREENSTONE was in close quarters on the lower turn anj was forced to case back. LANQUO was pullet! up when he was in close quarters on the lower turn. WAVY SEA broke well, but dropped back quickly, moved up steadily in the final quarter mile and closed well. HOT CINDERS showed early speed, but tired in the last eighth. TRICKY MISS was outrun.
