REVOKE BEARNS JRS LICENSE Case Referred to Jockey Club Stew ¬ ards in Connection With Eacing of Horse Syriac NEW YORK N Y May 28 The tem ¬ porary trainers license of M H Beams Jr owner of the horse Syriac has been revoked by order of the Belmont Park stewards and his case referred to the stewards of The Jockey Club Syriac finished third in the sixth race Monday May 24 at Belmont Park but subsequent developments disclosed the fact that the horse was not eligible to start having been barred from racing on the flat by the Maryland State Racing Commission December 5 1934 1934Beams Beams later applied to the Maryland com ¬ mission for Syriacs reinstatement and this was refused Syriac was claimed out of his ineligible race by Mrs Ethel Jacobs and entered by his new owner in the steeplechase of Thursday May 27 at Belmont Park The stewards ordered Syriacs withdrawal and stipulated the return of the horse to his former owner M H Beams Jr and third money awarded to S A W Baltazzis White Lightning which finished fourth in the race of May 24
