ROYAL VINTAGE VICTORIOUS Only Member of Hansone Stable at atWoodbine Woodbine Park Wins in His HisSecond Second Start TORONTO Ont May 28 Royal Vintage sevenyearold gelded son of Spey Pearl and Jesava making his second start of the meeting and the only member of the M J Hansone stable of Hamilton accounted for the running of the Glanford Plate Handi ¬ cap feature of the semifinal day of the Ontario Jockey Club spring meeting in handy fashion when he defeated T S Cochenours Worthy Duke by a length and onehalf M Keelings Easter Hatter win ¬ ner on opening day raced to third place four lengths back and a length and onehalf in advance of the Medway Stables Lady much The Four Ls Stables Spearman and the Parkwood Stables Silent Sea completed the field of six which competed Royal Vintage was well ridden by jockey F Madeley and raced the six furlongs in 113 113Bright Bright sunny skies and a decided rise in temperature brought an increased attend ¬ ance to witness the sport which was run over a fast track trackThe The field got away in good order in the Glanford and Easter Hatter was first to show in the lead from the stalls but was quickly outrun by Ladymuch and Worthy Duke as the halfmile ground was reached Ladymuch held a head advantage over Worthy Duke while Easter Hatter and Royal Vintage raced side by side in order On the turn out of the back stretch Lady much began to tire and Easter Hatter moved forward on the outside with the ultimate winner still saving ground As the field entered the stretch Worthy Duke was a half length in the lead while Easter Hat ¬ ter VintageWhen was heading Royal Vintage When they were well in the stretch Made ley sent Royal Vintage through next to the inner rail and as the eighth post was passed Easter Hatter began to shorten his stride and dropped back In the drive to the wire Royal Vintage drew clear and had a length and onehalf advantage while East ¬ er Hatter dropped back to be four lengths back of Worthy Duke
