HARVEY WOODRUFF DIES HOMEWOOD 111 June 2 Harvey T Woodruff for many years sports editor of the Chicago Tribune and later conductor of the column In The Wake Of the News died at the Evanston Hospital this morning after a lingering illness News of Wood ¬ ruffs death came as a shock to his friends at Washington Park where he was well known among officials and horsemen As sports editor of the Tribune and even after ¬ ward Mr Wocdruff covered many of the countrys biggest races for his newspaper
