PERSUADER TAKES HANDICAP Victory Marks Double for Jockey JockeyManifold Manifold at Columbus Surprises SurprisesFrequent Frequent During Day COLUMBUS Ohio June 5 Persuader carrying the colors of R E3 Spicer took premier honors in the Peter Schille Handi ¬ cap featured event at Beulah Park this aft ¬ ernoon which marked a double for jockey H Manifold Persuader followed the pace of Mystic Sign and Bushmaster to the stretch then took command and held Sun Tryst safe at the end Bushmaster was a close third but Mystic Sign gave up in the final test testMiss Miss Mary Lou Constans made the presen ¬ tation of the Peter Schille trophy to B E Spicer owner and trainer of Persuader PersuaderUnder Under favorable conditions the racing was staged and an excellent halfholiday crowd attended Surprises developed in many of the eight events Miss B Tice scored a double when Bee Line made a show of hia opposition in the second race and The Pot ¬ ter succeeded in disposing of Donna Barona in the closing stages of the third Jockey H Derden had both mounts
