HEELFLYS FINAL LONG WORK Three Ds Latonia Derby Candidate CandidateGallops Gallops Mile and an Eighth EighthOver Over Slow Track LATONIA Ky June 5 Over a track that was termed no better than slow this morn ¬ ing trainer Jack Pryce of the Three Ds Stock Farm continued to push the prepara ¬ tion of Heelfly for the 15000 added Latonia Derby which comes up for decision at the historic course next Saturday SaturdayHeelflys Heelflys prep on this occasion was more in the nature of a gruelling test over the mile and a furlong route which he tra ¬ versed in handy manner in 156 which is probably the final distance trial before the race The fractional time recorded by Heel fly was the quarter in 26 half in 52 threequarters in 118 seven furlongs in 131 and the mile in 143 It was a highly commendable work and definitely estab ¬ lished the excellent condition of the Texas owned threeyearold threeyearoldHeelfly Heelfly was the only member of the La ¬ tonia Derby eligibles to engage in a workout this morning However Dellor from the stable of J W Parrish and regarded as another strong contender for the honors was a scheduled starter in the Quickstep Handicap
