contest featuring this after ¬ noons eightrace program at Latonia To achieve the victory the sturdy daughter of Cherokee Catherine C defeated a mixture of Latonia Derby and Latonia Oaks eligibles but is not a candidate for either of those races racesTo To gain the verdict Squaw Lady defeated J B Respess Main Man with the Shady brook Farms Cherovan in third place at the conclusion of the six furlongs test which provided plenty of thrills for the largest weekday gathering of racing fans since the opening of the spring season Mistralkin Gin Daisy and Jay Bee Jay followed the leading trio past the wire in the order named namedCREDITABLE CREDITABLE PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCEIt It was a creditable performance that Squaw Lady displayed and conclusively demonstrated the gameness of the rather small filly for it required a stouthearted effort to overtake the fleet Main Man which had been the pacemaker from the start and held on much better than has been his wont to in his previous outings this year yearThough Though never far out of contention and saving ground to the stretch turn Squaw Lady was within striking distance of Main Man and Cherovan when the final quarter was reached It was
