REMILLARD HAS FIELD DAY Rides Four Winners and Second From Total of Five Mounts Cosgrave Stable Supplies Two Winners in inAunt Aunt Flor and Sisweep Roscpath RoscpathTakes Takes Feature TORONTO Ont June 7 With a program of seven claiming events down for decision on the semifinal day of the Thorncliffe meeting another large crowd journeyed to the Leaside plant to view the sport The weather was perfect with bright sunshine and a cool breeze while the track was light ¬ ning fast The riding of the veteran Pat Remillard featured the program when he piloted four of his five mounts to victory and finished second on his other mount mountThe The Cosgrave Stable supplied two winners when Aunt Flor and Sisweep scored in the second and third offerings offeringsThe The fifth event named the Toronto Base ¬ ball Purse brought out the best field of the afternoon to race six furlongs Seven were named and the running terminated in a thrilling finish when Rosepath homebred sixyearold daughter of Sweepster and Primrose Path lasted long enough to defeat Mrs R E Websters Dark Sun by a head margin M Keelings Easter Hatter raced to third place a length and onehalf back and a head before Mrs J Badames Feudal Lord Rosepath was well ridden by Remil ¬ lard and ran the fastest six furlongs of the meeting covering the distance in 113 Earl Porter installed public choice raced in dull fashion and finished last of the field fieldStarter Starter Clark got them away in good order and Dark Sun was the one to take up the pacemaking while Rosepath was away in last place Before they had gone a quarter mile Remillard had sent Rosepath up on the outside and as the half mile ground was reached was in third place a neck and a half length off the leader As they made the turn and entered the stretch Easter Hat ¬ ter which was racing second dropped back and Remillard sent Rosepath into command on the outside a neck before Dark Sun SunThe The pair battled gamely all through the thej j stretch run with Rosepath increasing her heradvantage advantage in the last sixteenth but Dark DarkSun Sun came again and in the last stride was wasonly only a head back and closing courageously
