FLYING SCOT TO 110111 Leaving Belmont Park Wednesday for Kentucky Track to Start in Latonia Derby LATONIA Ky June 7 Word received1 by Col M J Winn at Latonia this after1 noon from Tom Young who is in New York1 for the purpose of obtaining starters for the 15000 added Latonia Derby is that J Whitney will send his Flying Scot for the mile and a quarter contest contestYoung Young notified Colonel Winn that arrange ¬ ments have been completed for the sKip ment of Flying Scot from Belmont Park on Wednesday and the threeyearTold is des tined to arrive at Latonia some time Thurs ¬ day where the finishing touches will be put to his prep for the Derby DerbyFlying Flying Scots last engagement was In the Belmont Stakes last Saturday when he fin ¬ ished fifth Despite the defeat his perform ¬ ance was regarded as creditable by his han ¬ dlers and coming out of the race in good condition it was decided to make a bid for the Latonia Derby which will serve as one of the outstanding races of this week weekAn An effort was being made to have War Admiral fulfill his engagement in the La ¬ tonia Derby but all hope vanished when the sturdy son of Man o War grabbed himself at the start of the Belmont Stakes and in flicted a deep wound which will probably keep him away from the races until the fall of the year if he is able to make his return at all in 1937
