ALLCLAIMING PROGRAM Eight Races Run Over Heavy Track Under Twilight Schedule at Latonia Return of Pleasant Weather Helpful Helpfulin in Bolstering Attendance Interesting Sport LATONIA Ky July 19 Pleasant weather returned to Latonia this afternoon as an allclaiming program of eight races was pre ¬ sented before a fairsized assemblage The track was in a heavy condition from yester ¬ days rains rainsBrightest Brightest attraction on the program was the Walton Purse sixth race in which a small but good field of platers matched strides at one mile and onesixteenth Tom Jolleys Ellen Baker and Clyde Van Dusens Peter Tokalon ruled as early choices for the fray frayIt It was a livelywagered race the two out ¬ standing ones of the field of six each hav ¬ ing taken the measure of the other within the last ten days In their first meeting here Peter Tokalon a threeyearold gelding son of Peter Hastings Toke downed Ellen Baker Then in their next encounter which occurred last week the bay daughter of Bright Knight reversed the order orderSidout Sidout Arnold Hangers classy filly made a bid in this event for her second triumph of the meeting Her first she scored here on the second day of the meeting Others com ¬ pleting the field were Grand Child owned by Hunley Killpatrick Lou Molaskys The Greeter and John McShanes Kates Kitlen KitlenWith With Charley Van Meters Balover a con ¬ sistent youngster garnering the bulk of the early backing a limited field of twelve two yearolds went postward in the third race Grey Advice gray son of Good Advice made the second start of his career to also receive good support Another choice was John Mc ¬ Shanes Brown Street StreetUnusually Unusually good fields prevailed for the afternoons racing considering the condition of the race course Comparatively few scratches were made from them this morn ¬ ing ingBY BY SLENDER MARGIN MARGINInstalled Installed the public choice Jack W in the colors of Mrs S G Baker Sr came from behind with a brilliant rush in the first race to win by a nose from the veteran Bill Donoghue Third was annexed by Vellas Choice ChoiceBill Bill Donoghue bounded into the lead rac ¬ ing up the back stretch in this six furlongs affair to carry little Elmer Thomas in front until Ernie Hanke lashed Jack W from the back and have him get up by a nose Vellas Choice never threatened the lead leadMrs Mrs Harry Weiners Josie Jane a dapper chestnut mare chalked up her first triumph of the year when she drove to a narrow vic ¬ tory in a thrilling finish in the second race Hamburger Jim held on gamely to wrest sec ¬ ond place while Fast Start took third
