IMPROVEMENTS AT KEENELAND Large Force of Workmen Busy at Popular Lexington Track Num ¬ ber of Changes WeU Under Way LEXINGTON Ky July 19 Stone masons concrete and steel workers carpenters elec ¬ tricians and painters are busy as bees around the grandstand at Keeneland A large portion of the rear section of the stands has been torn out and extensions of both the lower and upper floors are being made for the accommodation of larger pa ¬ tronage tronageThe The cashiers for the parimutuel sections on each floor will now have wickets in the rear section of the grandstand This will relieve much of the congestion which has been caused by the lack of space when both sellers and cashiers faced the same way The work of painting the stables is progressing rapidly as is the hard surfacing of addi ¬ tional parking space The new drainage ditch on the inner side of the mile and six ¬ teenth main course has been completed completedThere There is very little horse activity at the track just now but by the first of August it is expected that a number of the stables will be well occupied By that time a large number of yearlings will have been taken up upThe The first shipment of yearlings from Ken ¬ tucky for sale at Saratoga will be made on Wednesday Aug 2 when the consignments of Harrie B Scott S D Riddle and J B Hurst will leave Lexington and the consign ¬ ment of Tollie Young will leave Paris In the Scott consignment is a colt by Blen ¬ heim from Argosie sister to American Flag by Man o War which a number of good judges in Kentucky are expecting will very likely top the August selling at the Spa SpaC C Y White has taken up at Elsmeade Farm to be broken eight yearlings the prop ¬ erty of Mrs F Ambrose Clark and five the property of Howe Stable
