LIGHTNING DESTROYS SEVEN SEVENJ J N Camden Loses Three Mares Maresand and Four Sucklings Through ThroughStorm Storm in Kentucky LEXINGTON Ky July 25 During thunderstorm Monday afternoon three mares and four foals property of Johnson N Cam den were destroyed by lightning at Runny made Farm in Bourbon County Four other mares and three foals which were in the same pasture were not injured The mares end foals destroyed here Pampeluna browo mare 9 by Nocturnal Pamfleta by William the Third and her colt by Royal Minstrel full brother to Royal Pam which died at Keeneland last spring as a result of pneu ¬ monia following a successful campaign at Hialeah Park Magic Spell bay mare 11 by Light Bri ¬ gade Glamour by Galloper Light dam of the winners Ostrogoth and Norado and her colt by Kiev KievCaldera Caldera chestnut mare 9 by Peter Quince Caledonia by Craigangower dam of the winner JacopoThe Newark and her filly by Jacopo The other stricken animal was a colt by Stimulus Avalona by Light Brigade half brother to the winner Barrette BarretteSenator Senator Camden chairman of the Ken ¬ tucky State Racing Commission is with Mrs Camden at Ocean House Watch Hill R L to spend five or six weeks weeksWilliam William Smith manager of the Runnyr mede Farm said that none of the mares and foals was insured
