was along inside the last sixteenth to wear down the early pacemakers having enough left to stave off HOWELLVILLE The latter steadied along in pursuit of the pace was placed under hard riding when reaching the stretch began to improve his speed in the last eighth and was along in the last stride to gain a dead heat PEON displayed good speed met determined opposition from SUN ARBOR was much used in disputing the lead and faltered in the closing seventy yards SUN ARBOR hard ridden while in closest pursuit of the pace was unable to close any ground when called upon tiring from his early efforts EYE HIGH was unable to enter into serious contention MACIE MARGARET was never a threat ZACABOX outrun early moved up menacingly on the inside entering the stretch but flattened out badly in the final
