won his most important race of this session when he accounted for the Peabody Memorial here on Decoration Day DayValdina Valdina Farms son of The Porter Trap Star won his first important stakes victory of the 1940 campaign at Tanforan on April 27 when he accounted for the San Francisco Handicap at a mile and seventy yards under 115 pounds He didnt win again in a stake race until he accounted for the American Handicap at a mile and oneeighth at Holly ¬ wood Park on July 4 under 114 pounds In ¬ cidentally that victory earned him his most valuable purse of the 1940 season 10700 10700KING
