OMAHA TURF NOTES OMAHA Neb June 12 Fred Remerscheid a young apprentice from Fulton Kan rode the first winner of his career Tuesday when he won the seventh race at AkSarBen with Tomoca Remer ¬ scheid is under contract to H Clay McCon nell Iowa turfman turfmanL L Ford has been engaged to train the horses of V J Vick He replaces G B Kennedy who has departed for Chicago Two jockeys now riding at the Omaha track were Christmas gifts to their parents having been born on Christmas Day The lads are Fritz Weidaman from Lawton Iowa and Luther Slape from Park Hill Okla Apprentice W Seaman now riding with some success at Omaha rode his first win ¬ ner three years ago He has not however ridden forty winners in his carrer and there ¬ fore is entitled to the fivepound allowance allowanceU U R Farmer whose son Robert Keith Farmer recently rode his first winner now is doing the training for the stable of H H Gauer
