G. Sparks; bred by Messrs. Crosby Bros. Winner entered to be claimed for 2,000. WENT TO POST 7:50. OFF AT 7:50 EASTERN WAR TIME. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third the same. FIRST DRAFTEE broke fast and swerved to the inside, set the pace thereafter under occasional urging, but had to be hard ridden in the drive to hold STEM-WINDER safe. The latter saved ground while in hand through the. first three-quarters, came to the outside entering the stretch and closed resolutely, but could "not reach the winner. ALLENJAY, close up until reaching the final quarter, failed to stay when put to punishment in the drive. EVEN TAN was never dangerous. BALLOTER tired. SWAIN was always outrun. PRINCE SADOR had early speed and then tired. SUN MICA was unable to keep up. BANKER JIMS rider broke a stirrup when approaching the stretch and he could not be persevered with thereafter. Overweight Mae H, 5 pounds.
