Gillespie Shows Em How CRETE, 111., May 25. Apprentice William Gliespie gave a rodeo exhibition Saturday afternoon that drew a big hand from Lincoln Fields, jatrons. The saddle on his mount in the second race, Bud-On, slipped during the running of the race, and getting his feet out of the stirrup, Gillespie could not pull up the horse. He stuck on Bud-Ons back, however, for another complete circuit of the track and then, right in front-of the unsaddling ring, he half fell and half jumped from the horse, clinging meanwhile to the reins and bringing the animal to a stop. He escaped injury but was plenty groggy after his experience.
