SCARLET FLAME, under steadying restraint while following in near pursuit of the leaders, went up on the inside to overhaul TAUT, opened up a clear lead when straightened into the stretch, then was mildly urged approaching the finish. MISS PILGRIM, steered to the outside when in stride, improved her position stoutly in the late stages. MINTSITKA bettered her position willingly and continued strongly to the end. TAUT, hurried to the front, raced CHILLEEVALLEE into submission, went out into the better footing leaving the back stretch, but tired fast when caught. CHILLEEVALLEE was used up forcing the pace.
