Small Maryland Tracks Await Dates Approval of Commission CommissionBALTIMORE BALTIMORE Md May 4 In the ab ¬ sence of any action taken by the Maryland Racing Commission anent the state of rac ¬ ing in this state the situation remains un ¬ changed changedThere There has been no announcement of a scheduled commission meeting and it is doubtful that there will be one before the termination of Pimlicos meeting on Satur ¬ day In the meantimer both racing meas ¬ ures passed by the Maryland legislature providing for 50 days of racing at any one track during the emergency period are still before Governor Herbert R OConor They are as yet unsigned If the governor does not put his signature to them they auto ¬ matically become law lawAlthough Although Bel Air Hagerstown Cumber ¬ land and Marlboro filed for dates some time time ago no action has been taken on the applications The future status of rac ¬ ing on the minor tracks in this state is yet to be decided The dates requested by the smaller organizations must be passed upon and approved at a meeting of the commis ¬ sion
