The latter, well placed from the start, lesponded lo pressure in the closing eighth, but could not reach the leader. REMOLEE sprinted around BAY MEL1A to take command leaving the backstretch. but tired in the tinal test. POST HASTE was off. slowest of all and tailed to rally to any treat extent. SAVE displayed high *poed 1° take command in the opening eiuarter, but quit badly in the stretch. LORD CCTTS was never a factor. YANK PILOT was eased up when hopelessly beaten. ARMED was hustled to the front in the rpening eighth, held sway to the strefih and then faltered. GRAMPS IMAGE showed an even effort. GALACTIC was hard ridden throughout, but failed to rally. Won drivine; second and third the same. MILK ROlTE, displaying kit usual habit of lugging in, went through on the inside all the way lo take command and then ducked u when hit on the left side by whip, bothering ADMIRAL JIM slightly in the drive. ADMIRAL JIM raced in the tirst flight from the start, moved up on the outside of the leader in the stretch and was getting to th« winner at the end. MOKANANNE ran an even race. ELKTON tired after setting the pace for seven-eiehths. PEEP SHOW was floundering in the eoine throughout and fell at the seven-eighths post while being pulled up. He came back to the unsaddling enclosure very lame. A claim of foul was lodged asainst the winner but was disallowed. -Scratched— 56107 Specialist, 111; 31758 Conqueror III.. 114; 56146 Our Blen, 115; 52910 Residue. 114.
