Dade Park Allotted Dates For Meeting of 26 Days Session Will Open on August 5 — License Committee Makes Report LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 15.— Meeting here last night, the Kentucky State Racing Commission granted dates for the annual Dade Park meeting, approved the report and recommendations of its license committee and announced two appointments, effective with todays opening of the meeting of Keeneland Race Course, Inc. Those named to important posts were Charles M. Green, of Barboursville, and Prentice ORear, of Frankfort. Green will serve as supervisor of pari-mutuel betting, while ORear will act as censor. Green succeeds Stewart Hunter, of Versailles, while ORear replaces L. G. Theisen of this city. Racing dates stipulated in the approved application of the Dade Park Jockey Club embrace 26 days. The meeting at the Henderson course will open on Saturday, August 5, and close on Monday, September 4. Under the accepted report of the license committee, the applications of Raymond Adair, Albert Bodiou and Robert E. Denton, jockeys, are "Held for consideration," while some 40 -odd additional requests from trainers and apprentice jockeys were not immediately recommended for approval because of insufficient identification, failure to file contracts or for other reasons. Applications of many in the latter group were approved today by stewards C. Bruce Head, W. H. Shelley and S. H. McMeekin, who comprise the license committee. In the absence of chairman William E. Smith, who has been ill for some time, the commission meeting was presided over by Gen. J. Fred Miles, vice-chairman. Also attending were S. Sewell Combs, Polk Laf-foon and Clarence LeBus. commissioners, and Thomas R. Underwood, secretary. The meeting was held in the Brown Hotel.
