Challenge Mes Head Cold Keeps Derby Star in Barn LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 15.— While illness has kept the Arkansas Derby winner and record holder, Challenge Me, off the Churchill Downs track the past three mornings, Dan Cataldo, trainer of the Chicago - owned Kentucky Derby candidate is not greatly disturbed by the ill-luck suffered by his star. "Right now," said Cataldo, "it is nothing more than a head cold, and if his condition does not become worse he should begin to improve within the next day or two." The O. E. Breault three-year-old has not been running a temperature and this fact has encouraged his trainer to anticipate a change for the better within a short time. A thoroughly fit and seasoned horse when he arrived here from the South, Challenge Me will not, according to his trainer, suffer a serious setback in his preparation for the Derby, if his present sickness abates within a few days.
