To Discuss Turf Situation In Southern California SAN MATEO, Calif.. April 15.— The California Horse Racing Board will hold a meeting in room 591, Chamber of Commerce Building, Los Angeles, at 11 oclock Friday morning, April 21, for the purpose of looking into the racing situation in southern California, it was announced here today by W. C. Buchanan after he held a telephone conversation with George H. Payne, chairman of the board. The announcement said that particular attention will be given to the possibility of a resumption of racing in southern California. Paynes statement said: "The board feels that where race tracks are available and there is no objection by the military authorities it and the racing associations have an obligation to use every effort to the end that the may be resumed ai the earliest possible time."
