Woolf, who seemed to be definitely set as the rider of Sea Sovereign before his departure for the East, may find himself aboard Bymeabond, or! ■ one of the lesser contestants if trainer Bud Blotter of the Charles S. Howard forces! stands to his decision to ride Ferril Zufelt on j Sea Sovereign and Willie Bailey on- Bis- marck Sea. J. K. Houssels, Las Vegas sportsman who owns Bymeabond, is standing by. waiting to make Woolf an offer to ride his three-year-old. Jockeys for the other outstanding con-; testants seem to be set, with Johnny Long-j den to ride the favored Busher, Dunice Dubois to be on Checkerhall and Jack jWestrope to ride Best Effort. Otto Grohs has been named on Valdina Streak, who will race coupled with Best Effort. Jockey Woolf, although he has steered i winners in most of the great races of the American turf, has never been to the fore j in a Kentucky or Santa Anita Derby, with j the best he could do was finish fourth on Welcome Pass in the last running of the Arcadia race.
