Clang May Attract Field of Fifteen to Post Diavolaw Works Six Furlongs In 1:15 for Tomorrows Stake Continued from Page One won the Hawthorne Speed Handicap, Harriet Sue captured the Arlington Matron, Appleknocker triumphed in the Dick Welles Handicap and Traffic Court accounted for the Beverly Handicap. Quizzle and Espino Gold, like Harriet Sue, won staices at Hawthorne this spring. Quizzle captured the Crete Handicap and then Quizzle and Espino Gold finished in a dead-heat for first place in the Francis S. Pea-body Memorial Handicap. The Clang Handicap is the first of three stakes on this weeks program at Washington : Park. The other two will come on Saturday. One is the 5,000 added Hyde Park Stakes, a five and one-half furlongs contest | for two-year-olds, which usually serves as ; a preview of Arlington and Washington l . Park Futurity candidates, and the other is the 5,000 added Princess Doreen Stakes, a sprint of six furlongs for three-year-old fillies. Nominations for the two Saturday stakes were being accepted today and racing secretary Fred Burton may have them ready for publication tomorrow.
