CAST OUT was well up throughout and held on gamely. FAIR BID was sent into command early, but weakened after a half mile. SHINED UP closed willingly. CARLATERA weakened. SIXTEEN CENTS showed nothing. POOLESVILLE saved ground early after breaking tardily, was taken to the outside midway of the turn and gradually wore down the leaders. HI GUS disposed of SPECIALIST D. to assume a commanding lead on the turn and held on rather well, but could not resist the winner. BALU EMPRESS raced with the pace most of the way and weakened. POLLYS PET saved ground and tired. FANAROSA broke alertly, but was unable to keep up. DUNDE had early speed, but was taken up sharply on the turn. SPECIALIST D. quit to a walk. POMPEY CORNERS, steadied while a forward factor from the start, took a slight lead at the furlong post, again was displaced, but wore down FLEXICO in the final strides. The latter wrested the lead from NO QUOTA after a half and fought it out gamely. LIBERTY HEAD gradually made up ground. NO QUOTA quit badly after being in front early. SUN GAL0MAR appears ready for best race at a route. JOHNNIE J. lugged in repeatedly. FRITZ weakened early. BALMAND dwelt at the start and was pulled up when GOOD SHOW went down. The latter was well back on the rail when he fell soon after leaving the five and a half furlong post. The latter raced in the first flight from the start and fought it out gamely. SKIPPY B. was forced to race on the outside from the start. LADY LIGONIER raced with the pace until midstretch and flattened out. GRIAN moved into contention on the outside rounding the turn, then faltered. The latter was steadied just off the leaders, forged to the front from the outside and just failed to last. MACHINA was prominent throughout, but weakened slighly. BLUE PROOF rallied mildly, but too late to threaten. ISLAND NYMPH closed full of run. PHARA SURPRISE quit after a half. LADY HAIRAN quit badly.
