Derby to Vandammes Bey PARIS France June 14 Reu ¬ ters Vandammes Bey by Deiri Bourgoyne won the Prix du Jockey Club the French Derby here yes ¬ terday beating Tanagrello by a length with Flush Royal a neck away in third place The race was worth three million francs and at ¬ tracted 22 starters over the mile and a half route and Chantilly race course The winner paid 20 to 1 W Johnstone rode Vandammes Bey who was trained by Richard Carver so both of them enjoyed a great double as they rode and trained re ¬ spectively the Epsom Derby winner My Love The favored Goyaz and Royal Drake who was second in the Epsom Derby were never really in the race
