Order Judgment of 300000 Paid to Telefilm TelefilmLOS LOS ANGELES Calif June 14 The District Court of Appeals here Saturday directed that a judgment of 300000 ob ¬ tained by Telefilm Inc against Harry M Warner Jack Macken ¬ zie and several others be executed The opinion was written by Justice Emmett Wilson and concurred in by residing Justice Minot Moore and Justice Marshall F McComb Telefilm had come into the court on a writ of mandamus seeking a writ of set aside the order for a new trial granted to the defendants by Judge Charles S Burnell BurnellTelefilm Telefilm was awarded damages of 300000 last December 10 by a jury in Superior Judge Roy V Rhodes court It had accused lie defendants of enticing Telefilms employes and stealing a secret process for filming the races at Hollywood Park Before Judge Rhodes could rule on a motion for a new trial he died Judge Burnell took the case and ordered a new trial The Appeals court ruled that Rhodes death did not give Judge Burnell jurisdiction in the case
