OBELISK, in hand until reaching the stretch, responded to brisk urging during the drive and, after disposing of the leaders, won going away. SWEET REWARD, reserved to the last three-eighths, moved up boldly when set down for the drive and, after reaching the lead between calls, was unable to hold the winner. COO, far back early, closed with a rush, but could not overtake the leaders. ROYAT went to. the front early, was eased back after leaving the backstretch and, taking command again, held on well to the final furlong before tiring. TIMMY began slowly. FLORIZAN SAM tired after racing prominently to the stretch. HIMMELEE gave way after racing well for five-eighths. Scratched— 760101 Bois Joli, 109; 76105 Sun Umber, 113. BLOCKY, slow to reach his best stride and losing ground from the start, finished gamely in a good effort. LEADING MAN raced well to the stretch, then tired. BEAUTY POISE tired after racing prominently to the stretch. WILD HEIRESS had a rough trip. TINTINA, between horses throughout, failed to rally when set down in the drive. VINITA TONEY was outrun.
