► FRANK E. JIMMY KILROE— Arlington Park racing secretary, will open his office at the North Side track today. Many of Nations Leading Stables Plan To Ship Into Arlington Park This Week Calumets Eastern Division, * Hooper, Dixiaina and Mimosa Among Those Coming Here ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 11. — Many of the nations leading stables will begin converging on Chicago this week in preparation for the opening of the Arlington Park racing meeting on Monday, June 20. The barn area and running strip are in readiness for full scale training activities. As for the large and lavish stands and clubhouse, patrons of the sport will find the beautiful and convenient accommodations to which they have become accustomed during Arlington Park meetings of the past. This weeks influx will be headed by the eastern contingent of Calumet Farm, which has been campaigning at Belmont Park under the training of Jimmy Jones. Jimmy, will bring Citation, Ponder, Coaltown, Wistful and other thoroughbreds which are expected to figure prominently in the ,-500,000 stake and purse program which will be presented throughout the summer at Arlington Park and Washington Park, under the direction of executive director Benjamin F. Lindheimer. The first unit of the eastern division, headed by Re-Armed and Faultless, arrived her late today. Trainer Jack Hodgins will arrive from Detroit with the powerful Dixiana string of 23 horses. Among them will be Shy Guy, winner of four stakes in recent starts. From California will come the Mimosa Stock Farms horses, including The Shaker and War Trophy. The former won the 5,-000 Premiere Handicap during the current Hollywood Park meeting. Trainer Ivan Parke will bring F. W. Hoopers brilliant team of Olympia and Ocean Drive. Olympia has won seven stakes already this season, his most recent triumph having occurred in the Withers at Belmont. William Helis speed horse, Rippey, who has been going particularly well this spring, will take part in the Arlington Park meeting. Alfred G. Vander-bilt is expected to ship some of his horses out for individual stakes. King Ranch and Maine Chance Farm horses also, are exr ► ■ — pected to be contenders in the rich events. Frank E. Nominations closed today for the three stakes which will be presented during the first week of the meeting — the 0,000 Hyde Park Stakes, the 0,000 Princess Doreen Stakes and the 5,000 Equipoise Mile.
