VICTORY SIGN moved into command between horses rounding the final turn, then withstood a prolonged drive and held the opposition safe FREEDOM WINS, away slpwly and forced wide by SEA-O-DEE .on the first turn, improved position from the outside to loom dangerously through the stretch, then hung. SAN SAN slipped through on the inside to reach the leaders on the final turn, then failed to gain while in slightly close quarters. GOING GONE made up ground steadily and finished strongly. BIG SHREW had speed, but came very wide into the stretch. FOUR FLARES went extremely wide on the final turn and sulked while tiring. BLUE HEDDA showed nothing. SEA-O-DEE was shuffled about early and remained far back. Overweight— Going Gone, 1 pound; Queens Ace, 2. Freedom Wins claimed by Kenilworth Farm. SECOND RACE 4 1-2 FURLONGS. ERRARD BEAU was hustled into a long lead at once, held sway with a clear margin into the final furlong, then could not withstand the winner. ILIAD was a forward factor throughout and finished well. BELIEVE-IN-ME showed first from the gale, dropped to the inside when outpaced and weakened. PODOLOFF made up ground from a slow beginning. PARKMOUNT had speed, but quit. NELL K. was between horses while well out in the track, responded gamely when called upon through the stretch and closed strongly to reach the front in the final yards. TALL WEEDS, in hand and behind horses early, raced forwardly between horses through the stretch and finished fast. ALABLUE raced prominently placed throughout, was crowded slightly turning into the stretch and could not get up. . FIGHTING FAN was hard pressed to reach a clear lead, lugged in during the final furlong and faltered. LADY DORIMAR, outrun early, was forced to come very wide for the drive, but finished willingly. WAR TEMPO saved ground throughout. LITHE was carried wide into the stretch MISTAMBO was closing strongly next to the rail when knocked out of contention by FIGHTING FAN at the furlong marker. GRAND BARTER was nicely rated while setting the pace, disposed of the early opposition, then faltered in the last few strides. MISS DOW, allowed to drop far back after an alert beginning, rallied strongly in the final drive. PEGASUS II. raced well out in the track, but could not menace. CAT BRIDGE was outrun.
