PENSAVA went to the front with ease, opened up a comfortable lead, was kept, out in the middle of the track and won as he pleased. RODEO showed speed to gain a short advantage in the first quarter of a mile, continued on gamely after giving way and was best of the others. GAY ARCHER closed stoutly along the inside. TATTENHAM went evenly. BEANS JR. was unable to keep up. JOLLY JACKIE had no mishap. KNIGHTS KNAVE lacked a rally under pressure. OMAR BOY, steadied while following close to the pace in the early stages, was steered to the inside fcr the drive, responded to stout pressure and drew clear in the final sixteenth. LILLIAN W. broke alertly, was placed under steadying restraint close behind the leader, came wide through the stretch, but was unable to gain command. MIN drew clear after a quarter mile, was placed under pressure entering the stretch and shortened stride. MAHUELA, slow to settle into best stride, finished stoutly along the inside. Won ridden out; second and third driving. SELTZER disposed of ATT. GENERAL soon after the start, saved ground on the final turn and was under light urging to maintain the advantage. BLUE ROXY came away from the barrier alertly, drew in closest attendance of the leader and was doing her best through the stretch. FERN GOLD moved boldly after a quarter of a mile, swerved sharply to the inside, was straightened and closed willingly. ATT GENERAL, unable to stay with the pace, saved ground and held on gamely. CARRY ME BACK broke alertly, was unable to keep up and drifted out slightly. FOG A. BOLIA finished with a belated rush. MEL SWIV was never prominent. FIGHTING DEVIL. flashed brief speed. HENRY PAYNE forced the pace, gained a slight lead before entering the stretch, then tired. SEA FARE, slow to settle into best stride, closed well on the extreme outside. The latter improved her position gradually, saved ground entering the stretch and just missed catching : the winner. SHOE SHINE was sluggish early, then finished stoutly between horses. BEAMING LIGHT tired from forcing the pace. SALERNO had no mishap. IKE JUNIOR raced evenly. TIM B. raced well placed along ! the inside, but lacked a closing rally. TUBBY B. was slow to begin. HY DIAMOND showed good speed from the barrier, opened a clear lead under urging, saved ground and held on gamely after giving way. MUCHO MAS improved position steadily on the outside and closed willingly. DIRECTOIRE was unable to maintain position under urging. WIDE WING had no mishap. EQUIHAZE was through early. ENERGETIC appeared to dislike the footing and would not extend himself in the early running. SEPTEMBER was outrun. ALL AT ONCE INJURED HIMSELF IN THE GATE AND WAS WITHDRAWN. KHABULA assumed command soon after the start, was placed under stout restraint while enjoying a comfortable lead and was never fully extended. JOBY IC was a forward factor along the inside, rallied mildly in the closing stages, but could no menace the top one. LUSMORES moved threateningly after six furlongs, but was unable to reach the leader and tired. ETERNAL BRIEF was never prominent. OCEANIA retired steadily after a half mile. The latter dropped back soon after the start, was steered out in the better footing while improving position and closed strongly in the late stages. SASSY CHICK, a forward factor throughout, held on stubbornly under late-urging. SPRING TORNADO moved boldly on the final turn, drew close to the leaders, then hung.
